Pecan tree

Few edible delights compare to warm sticky buns smothered in caramelized sweetness and pecans. I can hardly wait to make them again. This next time however I will be using pecans from the tree that hangs over our yard. The chore of shelling them, I’m told, is tedious but I am determined. I hope I can get enough good nuts as I have to compete with the squirrels. Those nimble furry things have the distinct advantage of being able to harvest directly from the trees while I must wait for them to fall and hopefully land where I can spot them.
