"Listen: there was once a king sitting on his throne. Around him stood great and wonderfully beautiful columns ornamented with ivory, bearing the banners of the king with great honor. Then it pleased the king to raise a small feather from the ground, and he commanded it to fly. The feather flew, not because of anything in itself but because the air bore it along. Thus am I, a feather on the breath of God." From the writings of St. Hildegard

A moving elegy, Ladybird. We were hoping and praying she would pull through this last illness - I'm sorry she didn't make it. She was a good and faithful little bird. I'm glad her namesake survives her as well.
My i-pod died on the same day that the Lady Bird kicked her little birdie bucket. I don't know which makes me more upset - the death of the bird or the death of my i-pod.
